8- DIFFICULT WORDS IN BIBLE.
Many people who read the Gospel find difficult words, so they do not believe. But in the Gospel of Jesus: words, sentences, and passages that seem difficult to understand are often important and necessary things. The things below are the writer's own questions and concerns for many years.
1- WOMAN Jn 2, 1-11: On the third day, there was a wedding at Cana in Galilee. The mother of Jesus was there; and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited. When the wine was exhausted, the mother of Jesus said to him, "They have no wine." Jesus responded, "Woman, what concern is this to us? My hour has not yet come."
In the hour of the death of Jesus on the cross, John 19:26-27: When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple whom he loved standing beside her, he said to his mother, "Woman, behold, your son.":
First, we see the truthfulness of the Gospel, for it is possible that the translators of the Gospel also wondered and did not translate it differently.
The saying "They have no wine" of Our Lady is very natural as if Jesus had a storehouse of wine next to him, this shows that Mary after thirty years of living with Jesus knew he has the power of able to do everythings. In return, Jesus knew Mary had an inexhaustible source of great merit and would be rewarded with a high and glorious position in heaven, so "Woman" is the word of calling between the Lord of heaven and earth, and the one who has power above the angels and the saints, for she is the Mother of God, for without her mankind would be without a Savior and without redemption. The word WOMAN is addressed only in a particularly important event: Our Lady is pressing Jesus to begin His Great Redemption because as the Lord said, "My hour has not yet come".
In the hour of the death of Jesus on the cross, "Woman" is the address of the King of the universe to the Queen of Heaven, in a very important event of blessing to mankind, so that mankind can have a mother with endless sources of merit, has divine power to help, defend, and protect her children on earth.
2- Snake is not wise.
Mt 10:16: "I am sending you out like sheep among wolves Therefore be as cunning as serpents and yet as innocent as doves."
Snakes are stupid compared to other animals but have venom that lurks in the bushes, Jesus and John the Baptist used the word "snake" to refer to the wicked and sinful person. But Jesus tells us to be as wise as snakes, so Jesus tells us to imitate sinners? No, for Jesus told the parable of "The unscrupulous servant" and concluded: "The children of the world (those are the sinners, the serpents) are wiser than the children of light in their dealings with the same kind."
So in a brief sentence, Jesus used four animals to compare the good, the bad, the tame, and the wicked, and warned his disciples that they would have to deal with many kinds of people, so one must be very clever, though still gentle and honest.
3- It is difficult for the rich to enter the kingdom of God.
When Jesus advised a rich man to sell all he had and give to the poor, and then come and follow the Lord, the man sadly left, and the Lord said: Mt 19, 24: "Again I tell you, It is easier for a camel to go pass through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of heaven."
Because in addition to the Law of "PAY THE LAST PENNY", there is also a higher Law which is "Giving equally as received" ("The more you are given, the more you will expect"): simply a person "Relying on the money" is happy, comfortable, reputable, flattered... There is no chance, no time to give, so the rich sometimes find it harder to enter the Kingdom of Heaven than sinners because sinners still have a chance to compensate with deprivations, poverty, humiliation, suffering... But the rich don't have those things.
4- FOR GOD EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE.
After Jesus said, "It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven," the disciples were amazed: Mark 10:26-27: They were even more amazed, and said to one another: "Then who can be saved?" Jesus looked straight at them and said, "With men it is impossible, but with God, it is not so, for with God all things are possible."
God can only do everything in his laws, including the Law of "Having, be given" which is that those who have good piety often GOD give protection so that they do not have to become rich, and those who have money but still have piety and virtue in the grace of God, then God will find a way to send emotional losses, mental pain every day, only in that way which the rich hope to enter the Kingdom of God.
5- ONE JOT, ONE TITTLE.
Mt 5:18-19: "Amen, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not a single letter, not even a tiny portion of a letter, will disappear from the Law until all things have been accomplished. Therefore, whoever breaks even one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be considered least in the kingdom of heaven. But whoever observes these commandments and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven."
The Old Testament has many differences, even opposite to the Teachings of Christ. So Jesus tells us to preserve and keep the Old Testament exactly the same, not allowed to change, correct, or mutilate it so that it remains intact, therefore we can search and analyze meticulously to find the wise, necessary, precious, important things in the Old Testament as the Church has been doing: "Christians must accept the Old Testament books with reverence, for they express a profound sense of God, supplying his sublime teachings, wise thoughts about human life, the wonderful treasures, and ultimately the mystery of our salvation."
6- HAVING, BE GIVEN.
Mt 13:10-13: "Then his disciples approached and asked him, "Why do you speak to them in parables?" He replied, "To you has been granted knowledge of the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been granted. To the one who has, more will be given, and he will have an abundance. As for the one who does not have, even what little he has will be taken away."
As mentioned in "Supernatural Laws", "HAVING, BE GIVEN" is one of the three laws that God created before creating heaven and earth. So even though Jesus wanted to save all mankind, even though he wanted everyone to hear God's word to understand and believe in God in order to be saved, Jesus used parables, and then depending on the merit of each person that gives the light for them to understand.
7- WHAT DOES GOD PROMISE IN THE WORLD?
Mark 10:28-30: "Peter said to him, "We have given up evrything to follow you." Jesus answered, "Amen, I say to you, there is no one who has given up house, or brothers, or sisters, or mother, or father or children, or lands, for my sake and for the sake of the gospel who will not receive in this age a hundre times more houses, brothers and sisters, mothers and children, and lands -AS WELL AS PERSECUTIONS- and in the age to come, eternal life."
Everything belongs to us such as LOVE, MONEY, FAME... The more we are greedy and longing, the more we lack. But trusting in God's grace, the more we look down on money, the more we feel superfluous. The more we distance ourselves from fame and power, the more leisurely we become. The more we suppress the flesh, and the more comfortable we become. Giving up everything and following Jesus, we will get a hundredfold according to this intention. And persecution, humiliation, and suffering is the way God gives us to create merit according to God's laws and will be rewarded with eternal life and eternal happiness in God's Kingdom.
8- WILL JESUS COME SO EARLY?
Matthew 10:23: "When you are persecuted in one town, flee to another. Amen I say to you, you will not have finished traveling through all the towns of Israel before the Son of Man come."
This verse is one of the verses that make many people doubt the Gospel because they understand "the Son of Man come" in the "the end of mankind", so people ask: how many cities in Israel that Jesus not come yet?
But as we have seen in the passage "The End of Days", "the Son of Man is coming" has two meanings, the first is that the Son of Man comes on the last day: "Then they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds with power and glory." And the second meaning of the coming of the Son of man is that the Lord comes in the last hour of our lives: "So be ready, for when you do not expect the Son of Man will come." So the above Gospel passage is that Jesus told the apostles: soon The Lord would welcome them to his glory.
9-DAY - NIGHT.
Before healing a man blind from birth, Jesus said: Jn 9, 4-5: "We must do the works of him who sent me while it was still light; night comes and no one can do it. As long as I am in the world, I will be the light of the world."
The day is the time, the period when Jesus is in the power of God, He is full of power, He suppresses evil, he drives out demons, and he can do all things beyond the reach of science. But "night" is the time when Jesus gives up all power and is completely human in the flesh to be handed over to the wicked so that Jesus would have the opportunity to make merit in suffering and humiliation, in a very painful and tragic death, to have enough merit to make compensation and redemption for mankind abundantly since the beginning of the time of human until the end of time.
11- CAN DEVIL TEMPT JESUS?
Speaking of "day" and "night", we discuss the passage in the Gospel where Jesus was tempted by the devil: Mt 4, 1-11, Mk 1, 1-13, Lk 4, 1-13. We may have thoughts that: If Jesus is Lord of heaven and earth, the devil should know and flee far away, but how dare the devil bring Jesus up the mountain, to the roof of the Temple, and say such insults?
But it is precisely this passage where the Lord is tempted by the devil that adds further evidence of the meaning of the words "day" and "night": DAY is the time when Jesus was in God's power when the demons were terrified and overwhelmed, trembled and fled, but the angels bowed down to serve and obey all his instructions. NIGHT is the time when Jesus leaves all his power, so the devil abuses and insults and dares to tempt him. Just as at the time of the Lord's crucifixion, he abandoned all God's powers and took on human flesh completely, so that he could create merit.
11- THE HOLY THING.
Mt 7:6: "Do not take what is holy and give it to dogs, and do not throw your pearls in front of pigs, lest they trample them under their feet and turn back and tear you to pieces."
The Teachings of Christ are exceedingly precious, like holy things, like pearls, because of the Law "HAVING, BE GIVEN" so Jesus cannot give to greedy and wicked people without merit like dogs, pigs but he had to use parables or far-fetched allusions to illuminate only those who were honest, good, and meritorious.
12- CANNOT BEAR.
John 16:12: "I have much more to tell you, but you would not be able to bear it now."
As we know about the Law of "GIVE EQUALLY AS RECEIVED" then the receiving of the Teachings of Jesus Christ is a direct RECEIVING from God so that humanity must pay God in proportion. So out of love for us, for our benefit, Jesus only preaches what is necessary, not superfluous, just as Jesus does not do miracles that are too great, too obvious, and when preaching very important things, Jesus often uses parables to conceal, or say here one idea, another one. But when Jesus ascended to heaven, the Holy Spirit carried out the Law of "HAVING, BE GIVEN" to guide those who have merit.
13- WHO IS GREATER THAN ST JOHN THE BAPTIST?
Mt 11:11: "Amen, I say to you, among those born of women, no one has been greater than John the Baptist, and yet the least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he."
When we join the Church, we are baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Eucharist of the Holy Trinity immediately dwells in our bodies, and souls. Our immortal souls are preserved and nourished with the immortal Flesh and Blood of the Holy Trinity and sanctified, taught, advised, comforted, and protected. Then ask if there is anyone on this earth greater than the smallest one in the Church.
14- DO NOT JUDGE.
"Do not judge, and you will not be judged by God. Do not condemn, and God will not condemn you. Forgive, and God will forgive you.": Many people say judging only by God.
Not so! We have misunderstood the word of God! Without judgment, do we just hang people's mistakes like that for the rest of our lives? Are there hundreds of things that need to be judged every day in each of our lives? It belongs to husband and wife, children, parents, brothers, friends, neighbors... But God's will is that we must judge all truths fairly and above all, be understanding, generous, tolerant, and forgiving, as the last sentence means: "Forgive, and God will forgive you.": this is what Jesus meant.
15- TRUTH.
John 18:37-38: Pilate then said to him, "So you are a king?" Jesus answered, "It is you who say that I am a king. For this was I born, and for this I came into the world; to testify to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listen to my voice." Pilate responded, "What is TRUTH?"
- The first meaning of TRUTH is the revelation of Jesus in His Teaching as the Word of God. THE LORD'S WORD endures forever: "Heaven and earth will pass away, but MY word will not pass away."
- Second meaning: John 14:23: "Whoever loves me will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our abode with him." It means that those who have God's indwelling in the heart will be inspired to hear God's voice and understand God's Word. So the TRUTH is the HOLY EUCHARIST of God. And the Eucharist of God and the Word of God, both are TRUTH. Because everything changes and passes, only the TRUTH lasts forever.
17-WAY, TRUTH, LIFE.
-John 14:6: Jesus replied, "I am the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE. No one comes to the Father but through Me.":
WAY: The guidance and instruction of God. : The first is the Word of God. Second: God's power envelops us: EUCHARIST OF GOD.
TRUTH: THE WORD OF GOD and THE HOLY EUCHARIST OF GOD.
LIFE: The Guidance of GOD'S WORD. The second is the Eucharist of God.
So the WAY, TRUTH, and LIFE all three mean the same word, the Word of God and the Eucharist of Holy Trinity
18- SOUL FED WITH TRUTH.
-Jn 17, 17: "Consecate them in the TRUTH. Your word is TRUTH.": Jesus asked the Father to sanctify our souls with two things: the Holy Eucharist and the Word of GOD.
And the wonderful revelation is: in the universe, there are only two things that do not change and last forever, namely THE HOLY EUCHARIST and THE WORD of GOD, and both are called TRUTH.
19- THE SIN THAT NOT BE FORGIVEN.
-Mt 12:32: "Whosoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.": Jesus used the power of the Holy Spirit to put an end to the demon that the Pharisees dared to say that Jesus was based on Benzebub, thus offending the Holy Spirit.
Blaming Jesus when He was a HUMAN, can be forgiven, but blaming the Holy Spirit as God is not forgiven, means publicly "blaspheming God" is not forgiven in this life and the next.
