5- THE SOUL
Has anyone seen or touched a soul? Has anyone felt their own soul? Humans are born, grow up, get sick and die just like animals, how can we say that we have souls? Or if humans have souls, why don't animals have souls?
But the wisdom of God's Word is beyond the reach of science, we are the blessed ones because we put our faith in Jesus Christ and rely on the Bible, which is extremely wise and can explain the puzzles of science:
Genesis, Chapter 1, Sections 26-27 about God's creation of man: God said: "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the livestock, all the wild animals and all the creatures that crawl on the ground." God created man in his own image. God created man in the image of God, God created man male and female."
It is not by chance that the Bible repeats three times: "God created man in the image of God.": IMAGE of God is the TRUTH, the LIFE, man like God is the SOUL, man is born from the HOLY BODY of God is the TRUTH, the LIFE. On July 31, 1966, Jesus Himself revealed in the Message of Merciful Love, to Mrs. Margaret: "I have created your SOUL in My IMAGE." And on June 23, 1967: "I have created your SOULS in My IMAGE." Thus, Jesus has more than once affirmed the phrase LIKE THE IMAGE OF GOD in the book of Genesis is the SOUL. Jesus further revealed the union between body and soul on June 25, 1967: "The soul is much more important than the body, because it nourishes the body and makes the body flexible. The body can contribute to the life of the soul, then the soul certainly contributes even more to the life of the body to glorify God."
And the sentence "We made man in our image, in our likeness, FOR that they might have dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the cattle, the wild beasts, and all the earth and all the creatures that crawl on the ground": man is LIKE THE IMAGE OF GOD, is a man with a SOUL that is a thousand times wiser than animals, FOR to be able to rule over all things.
The Book of Genesis also talks clearly about the soul in Genesis 2:7: "The LORD God formed man from the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the BREATH OF LIFE, and the man became a LIVING BEING."
"The LORD God formed man from the dust of the ground" means God created our bodies by matter, and we have mistaken the word "Breathing life" as giving man the breath of life, which is physical life in this life. In fact, we have understood it literally, in the near sense, because no animal is breathed with life and yet they still breathe, live and reproduce, so the word "Breathing life" that the Bible wants to express is GIVE BIRTH to the soul. Jesus himself taught us very clearly the meaning of the word "Breathing life" when He BREATHED into the disciples and said: "Receive the Holy Spirit..." That is exactly like the Bible describing God BREATHING LIFE into Adam's nostrils, but the first time God gave man immortal life, which is the SOUL, and this time the Son of God gave the HOLY SPIRIT, who restores and nourishes the soul.
So, "GOD is God who formed man from dust from the ground" means that God created the human body from material, whether it was through love between husband and wife, through promiscuity, or in a test tube. As long as it became a human being. And "Breathing life" is any creature that is called a human being, whether white, black, yellow, brown, red, blind, crippled, illegitimate or abandoned. All were BREATHING LIFE by God to create a human being in the IMAGE of God as an immortal SOUL to unite with that body.
We must also add the meaning of "God breathed LIFE": God does not breathe like us, but must understand that "LIFE" is the FLESH and BLOOD of the Eucharist of God. Therefore, the Bible clearly states that: When our body was formed in the mother's womb, God BORN (breathed life) a CHILD GOD like an angel in the spiritual world, which is our soul, with God's own IMMORTAL FLESH and BLOOD to be united with that body. Therefore, the soul of all people, whether good or evil, holy or sinful, is the BIOLOGICAL CHILDREN of God, all were born by God, so all people are BROTHERS and SIBLINGS with each other. And the soul is created with God's IMMORTAL FLESH and BLOOD, then the IMMORTAL SOUL, which needs to be nourished with God's IMMORTAL FLESH and BLOOD to be able to grow, be healthy, bright, and holy.
The soul is also understood as Jesus revealed: John 17, 20-22: "I do not pray for these only, but also for those who believe in me through them, that they may all be one as you, Father, are in me and I am in you, that they may also be in us, so that the world may believe that you sent me. And I have given them the glory you gave me, that they may be ONE as we are one.": Our souls are born from the Holy Body of God, the Truth, the Life, not like material life that must occupy space but BECOME ONE with each other like God the Father, whose great power covers the entire universe of billions of galaxies, God the Son, whose great power covers the entire universe, and God the Holy Spirit, whose great power covers the entire universe, becoming One Trinity, so in our lives the souls of children are in the souls of parents, the souls of parents in the soul of the children, the soul of the wife is in the soul of the husband, the soul of the husband is in the soul of the wife, in a family the souls of parents and children become one with each other and become one with God, in a church the souls of the priest and the souls of the parishioners become one with each other and become one with God, in the Church the souls of all the parishioners become one with each other and become one with God, the saints and the angles.
Thus, the supreme wisdom of the Bible teaches very clearly: MAN HAS A SOUL and only man has a soul, because no animal is given breath, no animal is created in the image of God. Therefore, we are not allowed to believe that any animal has a soul.
As for science, there is no machine, no method or means to probe and determine whether there is a soul in each person, that is God's intention, He wants to set limits for science, so that His law of blessing and sin can be fulfilled. But in incidents such as ghosts, the return of the dead, demons, and possession, we must admit that: only when people have souls will such things happen. For example, in the case of ghosts and demons, each person has a soul, but if there is more than one soul in a body, then such phenomena will occur.
And as discussed in "The Origin of the Universe" that the whole earth and the atmosphere are submerged in a super-material solvent a thousand times denser than all things, which scientists with the most modern machines have not yet discovered, and there is also that extremely precious thing which is the TRUTH and Jesus prayed: "Father, sanctify them with TRUTH, Your Word is TRUTH." The first meaning of TRUTH is the Teachings of Jesus Christ, the second meaning of TRUTH is the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ, the Eucharist of God, and our souls are created with TRUTH so we must confirm that the soul is truly an existing spirit that science has not yet reached. We believe in the existence of souls, but if we understand that the soul is weak and fragile, contained within the body that is not correct, because look at the phenomenon of two twin babies, when someone raises his hand to hit one of them, sometimes both of them raise their hands to block, even though the other does not see the hit, so how does the science explain that phenomenon? -That is because the souls of the two twins are compatible and closely connected to each other, that is why it happens. There are many cases where children in America have parents in their homeland in Vietnam who suddenly one day felt extremely restless and anxious, calling home and realizing that their parents are in trouble, so how does science explain it? -That there are parents who have large, lively, strong souls, always attached to the souls of their children, that is why it happens. During the Vietnam War, there were many cases where the son was on the battlefield and the mother at home once felt a sharp pain in her chest and her intestines were burning like fire. When asked, they found out that at that time her beloved son was shot. How does science explain these cases? - It is simply that the mother's soul is always attached to her beloved son until something bad happens, which affects the mother's body. Many people who are very healthy and normal, once said suddenly or did very strange things, then a few days later had an accident and died suddenly, which we call "evil speech". So how does science explain it? - That shows that the soul is much wiser than the body, so it can foresee what is about to happen, so it has such strange words and actions.
Those phenomena can be explained scientifically that: As we see, people can use electricity, power sources to control rockets, spaceships, can see the outside world thousands of miles away, can talk to relatives across the ocean as if they were right next to them, so the soul must be understood as a LIVING BODY created by the HOLY BODY of God, so the soul is extremely powerful, wise and intelligent a thousand times more than the body, more sophisticated and flexible than a thousand electric sources, combined and attached to the body and the great soul that covers all things and is attached "Becoming one" with loved ones, but we cannot touch or feel the soul because the soul is a SPIRITUAL BODY different from the life of the body: John 3, 7: "That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit."
The soul is also understood as: "The souls of the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father": This means that the souls of the righteous are nourished by God every second throughout their lives until they become as bright and great as the sun in heaven, so we scientifically understand that: The soul covers like the light from each person's body, so the souls of husband and wife become one like the light of two lamps and cover the bond with their children like the light of lamps in a house, thus spreading both virtues and sin as discussed in the section "Inheritance of Sin".
In short, the human body is extremely small in space and the life of the body is also extremely short in time, but let us thank God because from the moment of being born with the FLESH and BLOOD of God, the soul lives forever and those who are blessed to be nourished by the EUCHARIST of God every day can also grow tall and bright like the sun in the Kingdom of God, because of God's intention to fulfill His LAW OF BLESSING AND SIN, so God created our senses that cannot perceive the soul, just as no machine can touch the soul, no technology can probe the soul, but we believe that the Bible is the LIVING WORD, the TRUTH and the clear perceptions in everyday life that we recognize there is a soul.
The Teachings of Jesus Christ summarizes that man has an immortal Soul created by God through the Holy Body of God and will inherit the Kingdom of Heaven. We believe the Word of Jesus Christ and KNOW that we have a Soul.
